ABOUT BARU
Growing up in Prague in an agnostic family, I was always fascinated by the enchanting world of Eastern cultures and philosophies. The cozy tearooms of my hometown and encounters with joyful members of the Hare Krishna movement deepened my curiosity. In my early twenties, I faced personal challenges that led me to discover the transformative power of yoga, bringing invaluable awareness and a holistic perspective to my life.
My passion for yoga and its practices took me to India in 2018, where I embarked on training to become a certified yoga teacher. It was where I fell in love with the Vedic culture and learned the basics of Ayurveda during my Yoga Teacher Training. This completely fascinated me, and when I later moved to Amsterdam, I eagerly enrolled in Delight Academy's Ayurveda Practitioner Training in 2019.
Today, with over a decade of experience as a chef, I am a certified Ayurvedic nutritional guide dedicated to lifelong learning in Ayurveda. I focus on guiding individuals from all walks of life to grasp the basics of Ayurveda, enabling them to transform their diet and lifestyle with ease and joy. Through personalized support and by combining the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda with effective daily practices, I strive to empower people to create lasting, positive changes that enhance their overall well-being. My wish is to provide you with the tools and knowledge to live a balanced, healthy life for years to come.
I believe in the profound connection between mind, body, and food habits, and I'm here to support you every step of the way. As we work together, I aim to provide practical solutions and unwavering encouragement, helping you embrace a healthier, and balanced lifestyle that feels natural and sustainable. Let's embark on this journey together and make positive changes that will enhance your well-being for years to come.
WHAT IS AYURVEDA?
Ayurveda is an ancient system of natural healing that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. It is based on the principles of balancing the body, mind, and spirit to promote optimal health and well-being. Ayurveda uses a combination of dietary guidelines, lifestyle practices, and herbs to support the body's natural healing processes.
One of the main principles of Ayurveda is the concept of an individual constitution. Each person has a unique combination of "doshas", which determine their physical, mental, and emotional characteristics. The three doshas are Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, and each has its own set of qualities and characteristics.
Ayurveda and yoga are closely related practices. Both share the common goal of promoting balance and harmony in the body, mind, and spirit. Yoga is often used as a complementary practice to Ayurveda, helping to strengthen the body and improve flexibility, while also calming the mind and reducing stress.
Together, Ayurveda and yoga offer a powerful combination of healing practices that can help promote optimal health and well-being. Whether you are looking to improve your physical health, reduce stress and anxiety, or cultivate a deeper sense of connection to yourself and the world around you, Ayurveda and yoga can provide the tools and guidance you need to achieve your goals.
